An Apple a Day: 1 Corinthians 6:14-15 (NIV)

1 Corinthians 6: 14-15

Jesus said
14)"For if you forgive men when they sin
against you, your heavenly Father will
also forgive you.
15) "But if you do not forgive men their
sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Don't let the sun set today if you need to forgive someone.
Unforgiveness will pick at your flesh until
it destroys YOU, not the one you need
to forgive. They may not even know they
offended you.  Do Not waste time holding
grudges against people, but forgive them
quickly and the Lord will forgive you.

An Apple a Day Romans 8:32 (NIV)

Romans 8:32

32) He who did not spare his own Son,
but gave him up for us all -- how will
he not also, along with Him, graciously
give us all things?

Don't let feelings of false guilt creep in
if you are experiencing a time of
traipsing through lush meadows,
drenching you in warm sunshine.

God's kingdom is not about earning
and deserving,  but one of believing
and receiving!

Enjoy the good blessings God gives
you and thank him!

Do you feel happy today?

This morning I woke up to a gorgeous Saturday
morning.  The sun was brightly shining in my
living room with the already pale yellow walls.
It was so cheerful.  I began to thank the Lord
for all of the blessings he has given to me in
my life.

I confess and (God knows) I don't always feel
this happy or thankful.  So my feelings on this
day is very special to me!  I struggle with
depression, but I am learning how to let it go
and let God have my negative feelings.  It's
about time since I am fifty.  I admit, I'm a slow
learner.

But today, I feel so blessed and secure in God's
love...it is truly wonderful.  Thank you Lord!

The following verse is what I will be meditating
on today!

Hebrews 12:2-3 (NIV)

~2) Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and
perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before
him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
 3) Consider him who endured such opposition from
sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and
lose heart.

An Apple a Day: Habakkuk 3:17-19

Habakkuk 3:17-19

~17) Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails and the
fields produce no food, though there
are no sheep in the pen and no cattle
in the stalls,  18) yet I will rejoice in
the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
19)The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer.
he enables me to go on the heights.

As this economy is not likely to improve
since Obama was re-elected, we will
no doubt lose some things we have  now,
for example, our jobs, businesses,
insurance etc...  Throughout the next 4
years, we MUST remember that we can
and should lean on the Lord as our
strength.  Only through our Savior can
we survive the tough times.  Reach out
to Him now and confess your neediness to
God.  He will help you!

An Apple a Day: Hebrews 13:20-21 (NIV)

Hebrews 13:20-21 (NIV)

~20) May the God of peace, who through
the blood of the eternal covenant brought
back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that
great Shepherd of the sheep, 21)equip
you with everything good for doing his
will, and may he work in us what is
pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to
whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.~

No one knows what today will bring, but
not to worry.  When you don't know what
to do, wait while the Lord opens the way
before you, and be ready and willing
to follow his lead.

An Apple a Day: Psalm 116:5-6 (NIV)

5) The Lord is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.
6) he Lord protects the simplehearted;
when I was in great need, he saved me.

Our weaknesses do not repel God.
It attracts his power which is able to
impact a yielded or needy heart.

Do not condemn yourself when you
are in constant need of help. Rather,
go to God with your neediness and
let the Light of His love fill you.
Yielding yourself to His will is an act
of trust.  God loves a yielded heart!

Have a blessed day!

An Apple a Day:Hebrews 4:14-16 (NIV)

~14) Therefore, since we have a great high
priest who has gone through the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly
to the faith we profess. 15) For we do not
have a high priest who is unable to
sympathize with our weaknesses, but we
have one who has been tempted in every
way, just as we are--yet was without sin.
16) Let us then approach the throne of
grace with confidence, so that we may
receive mercy and find grace to help us in
our time of need.

My desire is to be aware continuously of
God's presence with me.  These verses
tell me that I do not need to let feelings
of failure weigh me down. Jesus under
stands how we are tempted, because he
was tempted in every way, just as we are
as stated in verse 15 above.  This world
we live in has been rigged to distract us.
God recognizes and rejoices each time
we initiate communication with him, and
become aware of his presence, we
have achieved a victory.  Every time
we lose sight of Jesus' presence with us,
just bring your focus back to him and
move on.  Rejoice in your tiny triumphs...
God does!
