An Apple for Today: Letting Go

I have noticed that when I do allow myself (which is rarely)
to Let Go and Let God, there is peace and serenity.
The outcome, in most cases, turns out much better
when I let my Higher Power (God) have control.

I admit I struggle with letting go on an hourly basis.
I'm not proud of this, but I AM working on it!
I'm sick of trying to control my life as well as
everyone else's.  All of my anxiety comes from
One day lily, alone in the group
©2012 FTPhotography
focusing on other people and not God or me.
I must learn to fully surrender all of my worry,
angst, and problems over to God.  I have to
get to this point or I will live in torment forever,
and this is the last thing I want to do.  Pray
for me that I will reach my goal of Letting Go
and Letting God!

This is What it is All About

This was shared with me through email!
I think it is beautiful and I wanted to share it!

An Apple a Day: Powerful Words

"Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison
or fruit&you choose." Proverbs 18:21 MSG

How often have you opened your mouth, said something,
then realized your mistake and had to apologize profusely?

All of us make mistakes. We open our mouths and speak
before we even think about what we say. Ouch! That can
get us into big trouble and lead to all kinds of misunderstandings
and hurt feelings. When it’s too late, we realize we said something
stupid or revealed way too much. There are those kind of
thoughtless comments and then there are intentional words
that can be a poison. The snide remark over someone's appearance...
the catty comment intended to be a putdown...
the shared secret that you promised not to repeat
—those words are the poison that can kill.

Am I The Only Sucker Who Bought FB Shares on Friday

Yes, I bought some of the IPO stock offered Friday for FaceBook. I'm gonna hold on to it of course and pray that it goes up from $38.39, it's closing price Friday, so I can sell and get my money back and a little profit. I've been so busy lately, I had not been watching the news and hearing the advice given by experts. Oh well. I would like to know how many on RG bought FaceBook Stock like me? How do you feel about it now? Please, I want to know if I'm in the "boat" alone without any oars? I'm looking forward to hearing from you! Thanks

Unexpected Guests Are Arriving in 5 Minutes: What Can I Do To Get the House Ready?

Your friend, Pastor, anyone calls and announces
they are popping over in 5 minutes, and guess
what? Your house looks "lived in." Here is what
you can do in 5 minutes to make it look presentable!

#1 Light a candle: If your house looks clean and
smells clean, people will "think" it is clean.

#2 Open the blinds to admit light and create
an open, fresh feeling.

#3 Use a toilet brush to whisk out the bowl.
Make sure toilet paper holders are filled and
put out a fresh towel.

#4 Carry a damp washcloth to wipe tables
and counters as you move from room to room.

Get your kids to do this: Grab a laundry
basket or a bucket and threw anything
that's out of place into it to sort later.
Stash it in a closet.  Take out the trash.

Hurry now....then enjoy your company.

Change Up Your Chicken Salad!

Kick it up a notch the next time you make chicken salad!
How?
1. Instead of mayo, use plain, nonfat greek yogurt. It is healthy minus the fat
and it adds a creamy texture!

2. Sweeten your chicken salad up a bit by tossing in some blueberries!
    They are loaded with antioxidants.

3. Add in some ground flax-seeds for a rich, nutty dimension.  Flax-seeds
are an excellent source of heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
