Great use for Cereal bags

I read an interesting tip from a reader in the Jan. issue of All You Magazine.

She said she puts meat in a cereal bag before placing in the freezer. It is great to prevent freezer burn. Neat idea!

Disney is offering a free visit to any of their theme parks. They are promoting volunteerism… asking for more people to give of themselves.

In return, you get a voucher to get you into one of the parks at Walt Disney World or Disneyland. You have to sign up for the program and select a volunteer opportunity. Then… you must show proof to get the voucher. Children over the age of 6 can take part.

Extreme Couponing Class

I just attended a class on "extreme couponing" at Anderson Mill Baptist Church and it was awsome! The owner Jenny Martin, of www.southernsavers.com website was the speaker. That lady has it all together. I would call her the queen of couponing. I will share some of what I learned tonight as soon as I organize my notes.

I always love to hear about new ways to save money. Today, one of my co-workers at Fox Carolina told me about a website I’d never visited before. It’s a good one! It’s www.shopgoodwill.com. If you like Goodwill and you like Ebay… you’ll love this site!

When you click on, you’ll go to the home page with a list of auction categories. There are antiques and art, sports items and clothes, toys and collectibles. You can bid on items, like you do on Ebay… but the prices are really reasonable. All of the proceeds go to Goodwill, so that’s great too!
