An Easy and Nutritious Appetizer
Cherry Tomatoes with Broccoli Filling
Think of cherry tomatoes as healthy, edible serving bowls for children. We filled ours with a creamy broccoli concoction. For other hearty stuffers, try chicken or tuna salad. On the lighter side, a corn salad would be tasty and easy for kids to manage.

The Last Lecture | Randy Pausch
Please take a look at this link!
You can even listen to the Last Lecture given
by Randy Pausch, a computer science professor who
in 2007 had pancreatic cancer and had only a few
months to live. He talks about "achieving your
childhood dreams" not dying. Little did he
know this would be his last lecture.
The book "The Last Lecture" would make
a great gift for the high school or college graduate!

An apple a day-Cut 120 Calories daily by doing this!
Is a box of plastic sandwich bags all you need to easily shave 120 calories from each day? Research suggests it may be so.
As long as you use those bags to divide up your snacks -- be they nuts, pretzels, crackers, or popcorn -- into small servings. About 100 calories per bag. In a recent study, people whose snacks came prepackaged in low-calorie portions ate about 120 fewer calories each day compared with folks who munched from larger packages.

A Poem by EE Cummings
I first heard this poem recited by (Cameron Diaz) in the movie "In Her Shoes"
It touched me so deeply, I cried for 2 hours after hearing it. I had to get a copy
of it to keep. If you have not seen "In Her Shoes," please make it a point
to see it. Now, I hope you love this poem by EE Cummings as much as I do.
i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Romans 8:28 (The Message)
26-28Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
Just hanging out at the library, enjoying the quiteness and reading!

An elephant's faithful----one hundred per cent!
~Theodor Seuss Geisel, Horton Hatches the Egg, 1940
This quote was at the beginning of a good book I just finished. It's about the secrets and
happenings behind the scenes of the old train circuses of the 1920'a and 30's. It's
a different world for those traveling with the circus. Rosie the elephant in the book
will win your heart. You will learn about the lives of the performers, roustabouts, and rubes.
